Mesmerizing Snow Sculptures at Zehnder’s Snowfest 2026 in Frankenmuth (2026)

Get ready for a breathtaking display of art and creativity as we dive into the world of Zehnder's Snowfest 2026! The frigid temperatures didn't stop these talented snow carvers from crafting masterpieces that will leave you in awe.

In the heart of Frankenmuth, Michigan, thousands of visitors flocked to the annual Snowfest on January 31st. With various competitions and activities, the festival offered an unforgettable experience.

But here's where it gets controversial... The High School Snow Sculpting Competition kicked off on January 29th, with 18 incredible sculptures created by passionate students. The results were a tie for second place between two teams, one from Frankenmuth High and another from Walled Lake Northern Team A. The first-place winner, however, was a team from Corunna High School, whose sculpture truly wowed the judges.

The State of Michigan Snow Sculpting Competition, which began on January 28th, also had its fair share of impressive entries. The people's choice award went to 'A Story of Becoming', a captivating piece carved by Lexi, Ila, and Grace. The first-place winner, 'Charon', carved by Al, Shaunna, and Ryan, truly stood out among the rest.

And this is the part most people miss... The World Class Snow Carving Competition, which started on January 26th, had some truly remarkable entries. The people's choice awards went to Team #1 and Team #2, with their single and double block sculptures, respectively. But the real battle was for the first-place single block winner, which was claimed by Team #3, consisting of Luke, Max, and Ryan.

These sculptures are a testament to the skill and imagination of these artists. If you're in the area, make sure to check out Zehnder's Snowfest before it ends! There's still one more day to explore and appreciate these incredible works of art.
